JK 2019 - Prizegiving

Prizes will be awarded at JK2019 as follows:

For the Sprint competition (ceremony to be held on Day 2) and combined Days 2 and 3 competition (ceremony to be held on Day 3) prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third competitors in the following age categories:

W/M10

W/M12

W/M14

W/M16

W/M18

W/M20

W/M21

W/M35

W/M40

W/M45

W/M50

W/M55

W/M60

W/M65

W/M70

W/M75

W/M80

W/M85

W/M90

Where more than one course exists per age category then prizes will be awarded to the top course in each category (A, E or L). However, for junior classes (M/W 10, 12, 14 and 16) first placed runners on the B course will also be recognised.

As Day 2 is a World Ranking Event, prizes will also be awarded to those finishing first, second and third in M/W21E on Day 2.  This ceremony will take place immediately after the Sprint prize giving.

Best Overall Performance.  A trophy will be awarded to the male and female competitor who, in the Jury's opinion, achieved the best individual performance across Days 1-3 of JK19.

The winners will be selected from those who win all 3 individual days at the JK on the longest and hardest course for their age group (A/L/E).  The Jury will be led by CompassSport Editor, Nick Barrable, and the trophies will be awarded at the Day 4 prizegiving.

For TrailO (day of ceremony TBC), prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third competitors in the following categories:

Elite PreO Junior

Elite PreO Open

For the Relays (ceremony to be held on Day 4) prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third teams in the following categories:

Mini Relay

Junior Relay

Intermediate Women

Women’s Trophy

JK Trophy

Women’s Short

Men’s Short

Senior Men

Senior Women

Veteran Men

Veteran Women

Ultra Veterans

Ad Hoc

Medal winners who are unable to attend the prizegiving ceremony may ask a trusted friend or family member to collect their prize after the ceremony.  Said person will have to give their name and contact details, and sign for the prize.  Winners of uncollected medals will be contacted by the organisers after the event.

A request for return of Trophies Awarded at JK 18 was issued in Jan 19. JK trophy holders who did not receive this communication should e-mail jkenquiries@britishorienteering.org.uk.
