Linchmere
A mix of heathland plateau and hilly wooded terrain, testing stamina and route choice. Part of the area, known as Golden Valley and Cognor Woods, was used for the British Championships in 2022. The map has been extended for JK2027 to include additional common land, making it even more attractive as a venue for the Long race.

The entrance to the Car Park and Arena is located about 1km south of Liphook in East Hampshire

Travel
By Road
Liphook is just off the A3. From the A3 follow the brown tourist signs to Hollycombe Steam Collection through Liphook and past the station. Before you get to Hollycombe turn left onto Highfield Lane just past the entrance to Churcher's College Junior School. The event will be signposted from this junction.
Car Parking will be on a well-drained level field. The final approach to the car park is a narrow single track and the maximum vehicle width for any vehicle is 2.8m. Large vehicles should take extra care at the narrow gate. We cannot accommodate coaches. The car park will open at 8:15am - please do not arrive before this time. Strict time restrictions will apply to entry and exit. Vehicles arriving after the last entry time will be parked some distance from the Arena.
By Train
The nearest railway station is Liphook (South Western Railway), which is 2 miles from the Arena.

This will be in the Arena and is the same for all courses.

Terrain & Mapping Notes
Linchmere consist of a number of distinct areas, with a range of names and management styles depending upon their owners. It therefore consists of a wide range of terrain, including mature and coppiced woodland, heathland and areas of marsh.
Prizegiving
The overall JK Prizegiving (Middle and Long combined) and WRE Flower Ceremony will be held at about 15:30, or as soon as possible after this.
