Perth City Centre

Sprint  •  Friday 3rd April

I have great memories from the Park World Tour races in Perth in 2010, and I know that its interesting mix of detailed park areas and city centre orienteering will be an excellent venue for the 2026 JK sprint

— Graham Gristwood

The staging of the Sprint in the centre of Perth "The Fair City" also offers the opportunity to explore the city (for instance Perth Museum with the Stone of Destiny, or Scone Palace). You can view the highlights of the Park World Tour sprint race in Perth 2010:

Terrain

Central Perth is a historical location with a mixture of modern streets and buildings with older alleyways and narrow lanes. Much of the competition area is pedestrianised, and there are some outdoor cafes and other areas of temporary street furniture. Courses will go through some urban parks, with grass and paved surfaces.

Location

The Arena will be in the pedestrianised area around Perth Concert Hall, with the Hall hosting Bib collection, Enquiries and other event services.

Timings

Start times are currently expected to be from 1130-1530. This start window is not yet fully confirmed but is unlikely to change by more than 30 minutes in either direction.

Entrants to M/W18/20/21 (who will be running on the two world ranking courses) are reminded that start times for these courses are based on world ranking order with the highest ranked starting last. Please make sure you (and those you are travelling with) take this into account when making travel plans.
