Accommodation
It is suggested that competitors stay somewhere in - or close to - Sheffield, as this will keep journey times to all days of JK25 relatively short.
Staying in the heart of the City Centre puts you in a prime location to explore the urban delights of the Steel City, and comes with the option of easily taking public transport to the events. Alternatively, holiday lets on the edges of the Peak District are plentiful, and will allow you to explore the rugged landscape on Sheffield's western fringes.
The World Snooker Championships commence at The Crucible Theatre in Sheffield City Centre on Saturday 19th April (Day 2), and therefore it is anticipated that demand for accommodation will be high. Competitors are advised to book accommodation early to ensure availability.

Accommodation in the Sprint Embargo
Given that the JK25 Sprint is being held in Sheffield City Centre, it is inevitable that competitors and their families may be booking accommodation in the area embargoed for the event.
The nature of sprint competitions is that the controls are usually very obvious; the challenge is executing the routes between them. Seeing a few controls in the area is usually of very little help.
On the morning of the event we would ask competitors, in the spirit of fairness, not to wander around the competition area but to proceed straight to the Assembly area. The same applies to those arriving by public transport or parking close to the city centre. Having deposited bags and picked up your bib numbers, you should follow the taped route to your designated Start.
